There have been some new developments on the band front lately. First and foremost is that we're having our first public show on Friday, June 13 @ 7pm. Gav and JP are roommates in a house and so we figured we'd have a house party and finally let our friends, family, co-workers, and whoever passes by in on what we've been working on for the past year and change. We've also scored a myspace domain (much to my chagrin, but I know that it's a necessary evil) which you can use to find out what's up with LOL from time to time - the URL is http://www.myspace.com/lifeonloan and we will post upcoming show information, new tracks, and other pertinent info up there shortly. We currently don't have any songs up there for listening, but we hope to rectify that soon enough.
Speaking of which, we're also working to get some songs recorded very soon (by the end of the month if all goes well) for a demo which we will upload to the MySpace page as soon as we can. We're not exactly headed into the studio (as they say), but we are going to get someone to engineer the songs for us and mix them, and we're also going to record on a rig that's a lot better than what we've been using for a monitor system. We're pretty excited about it, and hopefully y'all will be excited about it too once you can actually hear us (for those of you that don't live in Austin).
So that's the big update - if you're in the ATX, you're invited out to the show so come on over and see us! If you can't make it, well don't feel too bad - hopefully this is the first in a long line of opportunities that you will have to come hear us play our music.
